1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and improve your experience. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (stored until they expire or you delete them).
2. Cookies we use
We use one strictly necessary item and, only if you accept the cookie banner, analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4 (via Firebase) and Microsoft Clarity. We do not use advertising cookies.
Until you choose, Google Analytics runs in "consent denied" mode: it sets no cookies and stores no identifier on your device. It sends only anonymous, cookieless pings that tell us a page was viewed or a button was pressed, which Google uses for aggregate modelled reporting on our behalf. No profile of you is built. We use this only to see how the site is used so we can improve it, which the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations allow without consent as long as you can object. To object, press Decline: Google Analytics then stops completely and sends nothing at all.
We also note the page you arrived on and any campaign tags in the link you clicked, so that if you send an enquiry or book a call we know which page or campaign brought you. Until you accept cookies this note is held only in the open page's memory and is never written to your device. If you accept, it is kept in sessionStorage for the current tab only and deleted when you close it. It contains no identifier and is only sent to us if you submit the contact form or book a call.

3. Third-party cookies
Apart from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (set only with your consent, see above) and the embedded Google Map on our contact and location pages, which Google provides under its own privacy policy, this website does not load third-party resources that set cookies. Our typefaces (Inter and Playfair Display) are self-hosted at build time using Next.js font optimisation, so no requests are made to third-party font CDNs at runtime.
4. How to manage cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Common browser cookie settings:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the functionality of this website.
5. Consent
Analytics cookies are not strictly necessary, so under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) we set them only after you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you press Decline, or never respond, no analytics cookie is set. Your choice is stored locally on your device.
